Q: What
is your greatest accomplishment?
A: Balancing work, professional
studies and family during some
challenging times over the last
year (2009). I worked long hours in
North Bay three days a week, and
lived in a hospital with my wife and
child in Toronto four days a week. It
can be very trying on a family unit:
spiritually, emotionally, financially
and physically. Being able to work,
study and support my family with
many kilometres travelled through
the biggest personal storm of our
lives is a great accomplishment
to me.
Q: Who is your most valued mentor?
A: Personally, the person who has
taught me more about life than
anyone else would be my late
son, Silas. Professionally, Randy
Bushey, the general manager of
KIBL, has been an extraordinary
mentor. He takes time out of his
busy schedule to teach the ins and
outs of the insurance industry.
Q: What do you love most about North Bay
and area ?
A: I love that the only time I get "stuck
in traffic" is in the Tim Hortons'
drive-thru on my way to work. Add
that to the beautiful setting, and I've
found a place to call home.
Q: What else would you like to
accomplish?
A: A life not wasted is an
accomplishment I strive for. As I
breathe my last breath, I would love
to hear the words, "Well done."
