Dennis Landry
Dennis is a partner in Copperworks Consulting, a company that offers support to filmmakers and musicians. Previously, he was executive director of Music and Film in Motion (MFM), a non-profit organization whose mandate is to develop and promote the music and film industries in Northern Ontario. For MFM, Landry developed and launched the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards program. Prior to that, Landry was the Cultural Consultant with the City of Ottawa's Arts and Heritage Division, where he administered the Cultural Assistance Program, the City's arts funding program.

As the Executive Director of MFM, Landry has overseen the development and launch of the Northern Ontario Music and Film Awards program, highly successful professional development programs, industry support programs, significant outreach activities throughout Northern Ontario and a variety of promotional and marketing projects to raise the profile of the organization and the North provincially, nationally and internationally.
Landry recently completed a three-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (now Folk Music Ontario), where he served as the chair of several committees and served as Treasurer. Dennis won a 40 Under Forty Award in 2006.

 

Eleethea Savage
Eleethea, 37, has been described as a passionate Northerner who's been involved in community economic development for the past decade. She is currently a business development officer for the City of Greater Sudbury, a position she's held since 2005. Formerly, she worked for the Town of Espanola and the former Town of Walden, prior to its amalgamation into the City of Greater Sudbury. She received the President's Award for her work volunteering on the Economic Development Council of Ontario's annual conference planning committee and 40 Under Forty Award in 2008.

 

Richard Dupuis
Richard has been working with the Desjardins Financial Group since 1993. He was appointed Director of the Desjardins Business Centre at its inception in 2002.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Richard has spent his entire life in this wonderful city. He chose to complete his post-secondary education and begin his career here in Sudbury.

Richard is currently a member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Business Affairs Committee for Science North. Over the years, he has been very active within the community from being involved in various community service groups, as a member of the Board of Directors and a member for the Audit Committee for the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Steering Committee for Parks and Recreation and, for four years, a Board member of the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation. Richard won a 40 Under Forty Award in 2006.

 

Karen Hourtovenko
Karen Hourtovenko, Nurse Practitioner, Life Coach (Certified Coaches Federation) and business owner. Twenty-three years experience in cardiac, intensive care, primary health care nursing and wellness counseling/coaching. She has utilized her knowledge to train student nurses, staff nurses as well as the public on health and well-being. As a Nurse Practitioner, her practice supports prevention and treatment of health concerns, such as cardiac prevention, women's health, childhood growth and development, monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases, tobacco dependency and personal development. She lectures in the area of nutrition and cardiac health, specifically prevention and risk factor modification, obesity, diabetes, tobacco dependency and many other health concerns. She has produced numerous educational tools and writes articles on life style changes. As a Life Coach, she assists individuals in achieving success in the area of leadership, health and wellness and personal/professional development.

She is the co-owner of a Riverside Cardiac Clinic Inc. This facility assists with the increasing demand for cardiac illness assessment and treatment, diabetes control, cholesterol and weight management and general wellness and disease prevention in the Sudbury area. She teaches classes and seminars reflecting the principles for optimum health and well-being, and lifestyle management for health maintenance and success. As a half marathon runner and black belt in Goju Karate, her passion of the principles in nutrition and health supports and ensures her sport success. Karen won a 40 Under Forty Award in 2006.
