Q: What makes you happy about living in Sudbury?
A: I have had the opportunity to work for a few non-profit organizations and have witnessed how generous Sudburians are to help others. Secondly, we are very fortunate to be able to spend time in the great outdoors only minutes from our homes and, at the same time, be able to travel a few hours to experience bigger cities but always come home.
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: I have been able to help vulnerable people in many different walks and stages of life through my work in the non-profit sector and volunteering with the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers.
Q: What is the most important lesson you’ve learned?
A: I have learned not to judge a book by its cover. Every person has something to give and to teach to others. I have learned some of the most valuable lessons from people I might not have thought had anything to give but when I gave them some time, I was truly inspired by them.
Q: What is your personal motto?
A: I truly live by the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” I believe the more we give of ourselves to help others, the more we receive and grow personally.
Q: What advice would you give the other young leaders?
A: I would encourage young leaders to continue getting involved in our great community. I would also encourage them to inspire, encourage and lead by example to the next generation.
