Ehren is a senior human resources consultant and partner at DiBrina Group. He is also vice-president of Humaniqa.com, a national web-based human resources tool for small and medium businesses. For the past two years, he has been chair of the board of directors for St. Joseph’s Health Centre. He also volunteers his time with the chamber of commerce and United Way.
Q: What makes you happy about living in Sudbury?
A: The people. The sense of community is remarkable. I have never seen a place where so many people volunteer their time and dedicate their energy and resources to building and maintaining a strong community.
Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: My children. Being able to see the world through their lens and experience things for the first time is remarkable. Nothing makes me prouder than when they overcome life’s challenges through great effort and resilience. Professionally, I am proud of the team I work with. I have the pleasure to work with so many talented people.
Q: What is the most important lesson you’ve learned?
A: Relationships are incredibly important. Whether it’s family, friends, clients or colleagues, make an effort to treat people like they are what’s most important to you because they are.
Q: What is your personal motto?
A: “Be passionate about what you do.” It is that passion that will keep you motivated, lead you past any obstacles, and inspire others to join you on the journey.
Q: What advice would you give the other young leaders?
A: Surround yourself with great people. I am lucky enough to work with a group of highly successful and motivated people who are among the best in their respective fields. Thanks in large part to their mentorship, I have grown in my career and as a person. Also, never underestimate your ability to contribute to the success of others.
