Q: What motivates you?
A: New experiences—trying new things, however scary or awkward they may be at first, helps one to grow, and more importantly, to savour life. New challenges—striving to overcome obstacles perceived as difficult keeps life interesting. A desire to make a difference. As Gandhi once said, "Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world who would it be?
A: Instead of hoping to meet a particular person, I'd like to aspire to appreciate meeting everyone I meet.
Q: What do you enjoy about living in Northern Ontario?
A: I enjoy incredible sense of community of the whole region. When a need for medical doctors in Northern Ontario was recognized, the entire region came together and established a school of medicine. Now, people from Northern Ontario are training here and choosing to practise here to contribute to improving health care in Northern Ontario.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: My very first career aspiration was to become a fashion designer.
Q: What makes you happy?
A: The little things in life.
