Q: What motivates you?
A: I am motivated by challenges in my work, whether it is a complicated tax issue or helping to find a solution to a complex problem for the boards I sit on and the charities I'm involved with.
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world who would it be?
A: I admire Bill Gates for his intellect, his knowledge and expertise in the computer field, and his willingness to take risk. I am also impressed by his commitment to community projects all over the world.
Q: What do you enjoy about living in Northern Ontario?
A: Being born and raised in Sudbury, I would not be happy living in a large urban centre. I love the spectacular scenery and lakes in Sudbury and the surrounding area. My family has a cottage in Killarney and some my favourite memories are of sailing and swimming there.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: From the age of 12, I wanted to be a chartered accountant. I was always fascinated by money and stocks.
Q: What makes you happy?
A: My wife is very precious to me and we share many values and interests. My family, who have been very supportive of me through major career changes, also make me happy. My friends are very special to me, many of whom I have had since grade school.
