Jason Ferrigan (MSc) is a senior planner for the City of Greater Sudbury. Most recently, he was a leading player in scripting the Downtown Sudbury Master Plan. He also has his own company, New Planning Ontario, which consults on community planning in northeastern Ontario. He is married with two young children, and a committed community volunteer.
Q: What motivates you?
A: My most important and consistent motivators are my family, positive people, and a desire to create better places.
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world who would it be?
A: I would like to meet Jean Chrétien and speak with him about his experiences as a team-builder and leader.
Q: What do you enjoy about living in Northern Ontario?
A: I enjoy everything including the landscape, history, cultures, people, places and lifestyle. Northern Ontario is unique and a really great place to live, work and raise a family.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Growing up in a small, single-industry forestry town, I wanted to work in the bush and cut timber.
Q: What makes you happy?
A: My family, my work, being outside, and feeling a strong sense of accomplishment.
